All goody,

I'm trying a screen protector on mine atm which is made by Zagg and it's absolutely fine. Granted it's a Note20 ultra one but it fits very well.

No issues with using it with S-Pen and little to no resistance.

I always have an SP on my phone.

Oh good to know, esp where the pen use is concerned. I'm guessing that it's a TPU/film protector is it? As opposed to tempered glass.

Correct. I don't like the weight that Glass SP's add.

I've found this one to be 100% fine and have had it on since day 1.

Awesome. Resistance with the pen is really all I have against the TPU ones (the ones I have used anyway), but the factory installed ones didn't seem to have that issue. I find tempered glass ones to be far more trouble than they're worth. I shall make myself a note about the Zagg brand.

Can't believe it had to take someone to get one in their hand to answer this very simple question. Between  3 x no response, an "I don't know" and an incorrect "yes" from Samsung agents... ridiculous.

I would have answered this as soon as I saw it.

Feel free to PM me with questions like this.

Also truthfully I know for a fact that sometimes there is no answer to this until closer to shipping times.

Had a play with one in store, has a nice feel in hand.

My biggest concern is regarding battery life though and it seems Samsung themselves are indicating S22 will have worse battery life than the previous 3 generations - screen shot below was taken from Samsung.com Link

Also found Phonearena.com have done a battery life test, but I believe all their Galaxy's are Exynos versions, either way it doesn't look promising. Link

Also Samsung recently updated their website to now show the S22 Ultra gets LTPO 1-120Hz display, while S22 and S22+ has AMOLED 48-120Hz display. Link

Oh my comment definitely wasn't a dig at you! I appreciate you chiming in when you did see it. :)

Thanks for that. If I think of anything that I can't find the answer to I shall take you up on that on that kind offer.

Re the battery life. I saw a YT video by Mrwhosetheboss with an Exynos version, but have yet to see a SD one put to a similar test. In the past the SD variant has done better both in terms of heat, battery life & image processing than the exynos, but not sure if that will still be the case with the current versions of these chips. In the above vid, the screen on time was: Pixel 6 pro 7hrs & 6mins, Xiaomi 12 pro 7hrs & 30mins, S22 ultra 8hrs & 8mins, S21 ultra 8hrs & 15mins & the winner was the iphone 13 pro max at 10hrs & 27mins. All phones were on default settings & with barnd new batteries, all in light than dark mode.

I consider myself reasonably careful with my screens, but after the included protector came off on my Note 20 I got a number of huge gouges and scratches and I never worked out how. I am keen to avoid similar happening to my S22 Ultra if I press go.

I am unsure how much harder or robust Note 20 vs S22 glass is, but it's a worry they aren't including the protector any more, even if it only stayed on for 2-3 months.

I've yet to find an after market protector, including whitestone dome, which stays on any of the last 3-4 generations of Samsung curved screen phones.

My Samsung order on 10 Feb shows shipping 24 Feb plus 5 working days delivery.

So if all goes well I am expecting my S22U to arrive 3 March.
