Not too impressed with the new screen colour settings - I know Samsung have been transitioning to a more "natural" look for several years now, but when directly comparing the same image on an S24 and S25, the S25 image is definitely duller - it has considerably less pop, it's more washed-out and less contrasty no matter what changes I make in the screen settings page.

I played with a S25U in a Noel Leeming's yesterday and thought the same thing. Even with the Vivid setting, the colors seem much more muted. Thought it may have been a store display setting,  but I guess not.

Disclaimer: I'm in no rush to receive my phone. I purchased because the trade in for me was lucrative. It is fairly sloppy not having the pre orders out before you can walk in to a store and buy one in my opinion.

I would email CEO through support page for not being happy.

I think you misunderstand the purpose of a pre-order.

Pre-orders secure a specific amount of stock sold and ensure you are guaranteed a device within a few days of launch. In exchange for that, you get offered additional incentives you most certainly won't get when walking into a store post release (Including the potential for not having stock of the configuration you wish to purchase.

Managed to get a reasonable deal trading in an S22+ and using a couple of coupons.  The free 45W power supply and case were another bonus.  But it took me a few days to decide on a colour as I don't like any of the 7, then another few days to convince myself the upgrade is worth it - there aren't many compelling reasons to do so.  We will see.

I have to wait until the 12th for it to be shipped as the case is out of stock.

It's nice to get back to "phone lasts all day" battery life after the S21U was getting to the point of "charge whenever you can".

Currently on 57% at 1630 after taking it off the charger just after 0600.  Fairly normal level of screen time and app use which would have put the S21U on 57% by late morning.

Bonus benefit of non broken camera also helps.  :-)

The jump from base s22 to base s25 is actually insane and thats just the battery being able to hold its charge. I had to do some major settings changes + hacky things and debloating to make sure that S22 battery can last the distance.

The processing speed and speakers are also a very nice improvement.

As a comparison to my iPhone 16 the only major difference is the Adaptive Refresh Rate on the S25 making it look fluid but other than that its just down to Android vs iOS. I'm thinking the S25 could also have an edge in processing power and a better AI combination than Apple AI but the iPhone 16 speakers are just incomparable - they're unbelievably god like for such a tiny speaker package that I don't know what Apple does to make them sound like a full blown boom box. This new Snapdragon SoC really is good and I'm glad I waited for this over last years S24.

Is it me or anyone else, when you check your order in the Samsung website, it just spins around.  Is there a web browser where this doesn't happen, i cannot check the status at the moment.

The bit where you click on "View Details" is where it tries to load the page.

Samsung replied to my email on 4th Feb   was totally different to your answer to yours, so iam confused ?Jade Green is mine.

"Upon checking, your order is currently on “shipping requested” status, meaning, a unit has already been allocated for you. You will be receiving email once it’s already out for delivery together with the shipping details. Standard turnaround time for the delivery is 5-7 working days depending on the level of congestion at NZ Post"

My bad I didn't mean I had contacted anyone, more that I had checked the online store and seen those dates, I was in the process of contacting them but now that you shared that perhaps I should just be patient, hard when the wife already has hers hahaha...

Based on experience, you won't get much new info by contacting them. Sit, hang tight and they will only do something about it if your order is very very delayed.
