There's actually an NZ pool server: nz.pool.ntp.org.  Just browse to /etc with root explorer or similar, mount as read/write, and edit gps.conf manually.

Ambrose_1: Thinking of going to checkrom from litening rom, far too lazy to backup and restore all the apps I have especially since titanium didn't work properly for me last time.

Has anyone gone from litening to checkrom without wiping?  I know the dev says not too, but yeah lazy

Curious to know what problems you had with Titanium Backup?

TBH I'd never recommend going from one ROM to another without a full wipe - there are too many subtle changes to framework/theme-related files, and sooner or later it's going to cause you problems.  Between Titanium Backup, and an SMS/call log restore tool, I'm usually back up within 20 minutes of a factory reset/flash.

What if i just flash the csc to nz voda one, will that update the gps.conf without needing to root the phone?

Not sure - it's been a while since I poked around in a CSC folder structure, but you should be able to find out fairly easily by looking at any scripts contained within.

I am going to flash Siyah 2.1RC1 kernal via CWM, do I simply copy the entire file over to my int-sd card or do I extract it and then copy it?

Ah, might be an incompatibility with the the Kernal and CWM as I get error message no Zimage was found. Looks like others have had the same issue. Might try Odin

I've flashed the siyah kernel since 1.7 cwm version and never had any trouble like you are having. various roms. I'm currently running 2.1rc3. Cwm version.

In fact I have found the siyah kernel to be the best of all of them, and use it always.

Looks like its sorted, I was trying to flash from within the CWM app itself, but went out to recovery and tried and it looks like its all go this time. Also 2.1rc3, and it appears 2.1 final is due out anytime soon. Thanks.
