Looks like the camera in 4.3 fixes a lot of the issues people have been complaining about, focus is improved and clarity and accuracy of colours is better.

No longer seeing much in the way of blurring.

Judging by a few of the posts in this thread, there'll be some pretty happy people hearing that news

I have to say the camera went from good to meh for me on GPe 4.2 to 4.3, it was good before but does all sorts of weird things now

I just picked up a HTC One yesterday.

Its taking a bit to get used to as I have been using the iPhone 4 for the last 3 years.

I was tossing up between the SGSIV and the one. Went with the nicer feel as I use the phone caseless.

Have already removed the beats logo off the back other then that its pretty much as it came. I did get the Google keyboard. Seems better then the HTC one but I have a feeling that's because its more apple like

I did the same as you, going from an iPhone 4 to this, and haven't looked back (although I was never sold on apple/iOS). Took me a little while to get used to it, but the "swype" feature of most android keyboards has been one of the highlights for me

Same here.

Long time iOS user, occasionally tried Android and Windows phones but always felt they were too clunky and went back to iOS.

Have had the HTC One a few weeks now and find it absolutely fantastic. Wont be going back to iOS. Already starting to feel hatred toward those raving about the next iPhone release...

Same as you guys. iPhone 4 to HTC One. Been with iPhones since the original and had my HTC One for about a month now. Despite some issues with the camera etc its been a great experiance and I have no intention if going back to iOS now.

Lol, mine just naturally rubbed off over the course of the 6 weeks or so that I've had it!! I can't imagine you'd do anything special other than just rub it if you want to get rid of it...

So, both my wife and I have the One. I bought some double dip cases and while it was tight I was able to put one on mine fairly easily. However when I went to do my wife's one it was impossible to get on and became completely stuck. I made my nails bleed getting it off.

Interesting problem. I have 3 of the double dip cases and no issues. I slide the mid piece on and then the end caps fit perfectly on after that.

Yeah it fits perfectly fine on my one, hers for some reason is slightly larger. very odd.

Possibly a slightly deformed case then? I've had that with Nilkin ones in the past. You would hope its not an oddly sized phone

Hi,

Looking at moving from the iPhone 5 to a HTC One - what is the IMAP, CardDAV and CalDAV support like? I'm using the iCloud and wondering what the support is like or whether I'm better off migrating to Google's own services instead.

IMAP works great, couldn't speak to the other two as I use Exchange ActiveSync which is awesome.

I don't think you would regret moving from the iPhone for a second, a new One should come with Android 4.2.2 or will at the least have an OTA available and makes it in my opinion the best smartphone out there.

The only shortcoming Android has compared to iOS is the automated backup/restore stuff but HTC has done a decent job at fixing that by backing up everything to a Dropbox account and allowing full restores from that. Much better than Googles effort at it.
