Why would you choose to buy from PB when you can buy directly from Google for same price?

DeepBlueSky: Nexus 6P durability test, bit of an eye opener; you may want to get a case with the phone.

Or you can safely avoid those problems by not trying to set the screen of your phone on fire with a cigarette lighter.

For anyone concerned, here are four videos suggesting the first durability test was flawed:

Your phone is not going to bend like an over-ripe banana.

Might be a defective unit but there's someone on reddit complaining that their Nexus 6P bent from day to day use..

Notice it's been flagged as a potential photoshop? The photo gets strangely blurry around the supposedly bent section...

I don't pay GST, also warranty issues will be easier to sort out.

I reckon the opposite for warranty - if I had a faulty phone, I'd much rather deal with Google.

Just noticed a couple of cases on Trade me for the 6P

This "folio" case and This shield matte

Can anybody shed any light on either of them, especially the higher priced one.

Thanks.

The first one is just your average cover the back and sides one, it's better than nothing but not recommended if you want to protect your phone from drops.

The second one is more functionality, it's a wallet type case that provides slots for credit cards or business cards, it generally provides more protection. Forgot to mention, it's not real leather if you're wondering.

In my experience folio case are some of the more useful kinds of cases out there.

Just a quick info for you guys.
I ordered my 64GB Aluminium P6 direct from Google.
It's supposed to be shipped in the next couple of days.
I also did a separate order for the case and some spare cables.
This has arrived this morning, very quick delivery actually, 2 business days.
As a note of interest, all of Google's logistics for NZ are handled by Expansys Hong Kong.

I also has an issue where the invoice generated did not quote correct GST but the box has a clear label saying "Customs Duties/Taxes Paid by Consignor" so all appears to be in order anyway.

Can't wait for my new Nexus
