I asked B&H why the  Pixel 6 can't be shipped to NZ

Their answer

"Thank you for contacting the Sales Department at B&H Photo Video and Pro Audio.

Unfortunately, Google has restrictions in where their phones can be shipped to. I apologize for the frustration in your attempts at ordering this smartphone.

You may want to research Google's international info page to see what is workable in New Zealand.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Thank you for choosing B&H."

In other words Google says we can't sell it to you .

I'm interested in, VoLTE and VoWIFI. Probably not on the main carriers, but, am expecting it to work with Kogan.

What I am most interested in though is, does the screening work in NZ, either with NZ as the setup or AU?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Maybe when the govt their gave approval for the Google datacenter they should have required Google to bring their product rage on their Google Store inline with what Google sells in Australia.

emenent7426 - thanks testing for us folks keen to know about 5G compatibility. Shame it doesn't seem to be picking up the 5G signal.

So 4G and 3G works seamlessly for you?

That's a bit of a bummer. At present it's just an expensive 4G phone.

I'd hazard a guess that most people aren't buying this phone for the 5G

I'm out, I'll wait for Google to one day come to the party and launch here officially.

Buying the Pixel 6/Pro would be like owning a Ferrari governed to a top speed of 180 kmh.

You're most likely correct but If I buy a new  phone and pay out all this money I would want all it's features to work not just some of them hence my next phone will most likely be bought from a carrier as I know it will work.  Even phones from the likes of PB Tech can be a turkey shoot as far as compatibility goes.
