I upgraded my S10e to the S22 and I instantly didn't like the S22. The battery life was terrible - it couldn't make it through a work day without me needing to charge it by 5pm.

I upgraded to the S23 as soon as it was released, and I love it. Battery life is amazing - I've managed to get through a day and a half before needing to recharge it. I used both the S10e and the S22 as trade-ins to get a good price for the S23. Camera and performance is also great on the S23, no complaints at all.

Thanks, that's really useful.  I had read somewhere that S22 battery life was dodgy.  The S10e was great for the first year but seems to have gradually tailed off

@shk292 - I didn't charge my phone last night and am on 15% remaining with 3h 25m to go, according to the battery stats, with 5h 41m of screen-on time. After years of struggling to get a phone to last a single workday, this is amazing for me.

I loved my S10e and was sad to see it go. I guess my only complaint about the S23 is the lack of headphone jack, but I knew that before buying. I bought a USB to 3.5mm adapter to fill that gap.

Yes, I'm trying to hold onto my S10e for as long as possible, but the battery life is becoming a liability. OK when I'm at home or work and connected to WiFi but not so good otherwise, especially if I'm running an navigation app or similar

It's a bit frustrating that if you want assurance of being able to use VOWIFI and VOLTE then it's either samsung or apple. Looks like S23 for me next

More a general usability question than something specific to this particular phone, but it doesn't really need a thread of it's own.

A fair number of the photos I take don't need to be able to be zoomed in to a freckle on the forehead of an ant 85KM's away. Say a small photo of an object suitable to list of trade me etc.

Rather than having to resize each photo manually to upload them, is it possible to have a 'mode' that is say 3MP etc that I can easily get in and out of?

I use the OpenCamera app for low quality shots. I have set it to default to low quality for both Video and Photos.

It's good to just jump into each app depending on requirements.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Apparently the June firmware comes with significant camera improvements.

No update available on my S23U on 2D yet.

2.2GB update coming soon for S23 handsets

This is now on hold apparently due to bugs found for some European users who installed the update, according this.

Yep it has been delayed. Oh well better to wait than to deal with bugs I suppose!

Based on this article, I'd probably hold off the update when it gets pushed out in NZ.

Not sure if this should get a new thread, but in case it's easily fixed. For a while now, my speed dials seem to get erased each day (I am not sure if it's exactly a day). It's a relatively new problem but may have something to do with 'company portal'

Has anyone seen this behaviour elsewhere?
