BigHammer: Thanks to all for the tips so far. Made setting up the Desire easy and straight forward. Cheers!

Now if only I could figure out how to set up Call Forwarding/Divert I'll be fully under way! Rather poor Vodafone signal at home so I divert to the landline when I'm there. Any suggestions? TIA

Situation:  I have a hotmail account and have filters set up pushing messages in to different folders.  The 'Mail' app on the phone will only display messages within the inbox and I don't have the option to view/check other folders.

Any one know of an application for emails that allow viewing of all folders within Hotmail?  Probably a dank question since not many people would use hotmail I'm betting, but worth an ask!

thanks

JellyWeb: .  Anyone want a 30% off Zagg coupon code?  be the first to PM me and you must intend to use it for yourself!

Further to my message this morning, I have just given the coupon code to 'bendigo' but when I went to get it out of my email I realised that the reason I got sent the 30% coupon code was because I entered my email address to go in the draw to win the iPad (the only reason I'd ever own one of these over hyped things is if i won it! (well, if they had a webcam and supported Adobe Flash, then I *may* be tempted))
so.... for anyone else that wants 30% off their Zagg product I suggest you sign up first, then use the coupon code they send you.

Many thanks! Ran it dead flat this morning so will try that as soon as the charge is complete.

Many thanks JellyWeb - have used the 30% coupon and got myself the full body easy install shield.
Actually ordered shield protector from Clove with HTC Desire but was never sent them as they're waiting on back orders so have cancelled it.

Just had a look at this and when I hit "call forwarding" or "call barring settings" or "additional settings" I get the error "Network or SIM card error" on the Vodafone network.

Have tried 3 different SIMs, one Vodafone, one slingshot (Vodafone network) and one 2Degrees. 2Degrees seems to work fine!

Anybody got any ideas? Cheers

Still doing it. Doh! Will talk to Vodafone.

Cheers

EDIT: Think I've found the problem. It actually works if I switch the network to WCDMA only and move to an area I can kinda get an okay signal. On GSM or Auto it fails every time, even with an okay signal. Will still talk to Vodafone. Thanks for your help kiwitrc

Has anyone else seen any weird behaviour while charging through USB (just charging, not mounted)? I've occasionally had difficulty opening iTunes. And lastnight I was watching something in Windows Media Player - had been watching for about five minutes then it just crashed. Couldn't figure out what the hell it was, task manager was refusing to kill the process. I was just about to reboot, when I tried unplugging my Desire. Bam, back to normal. (This is on Windows 7 64 bit)

Also, not sure if it was related or a network issue. But during this same charge time (about 4pm-9pm lastnight) a bunch of incoming and outgoing texts were delayed. ie. I received a text at about 11pm from an 021 that must have been sent several hours earlier. Could be completely unrelated, but meh.

ANYWAY, somewhat related... what is everyone using for a regular charger? Just an adapter for the UK charger?

No issues charging via USB. Must be iTunes, which I don't use ;-)

I'm using the supplied charger with an adapter plug. Looking for another charger and desperately need a car charger!

Check out Harvey Norman's selection of cell accessories Stu - for my i8910, which also used a micro USB connection, I got a spare charger and car charger together for $20 there. Works a treat with the Desire, and nice to have going foward since everyone is now going to use micro USB (go the EU and forcing standards on companies for the consumer good!).

Regards USB charging - could be a 64bit Windows 7 problem. I see a few reports of HTC Sync problems with 64bit Windows...

Thanks Murray I'll do just that! micro USB is most certainly a welcome standard.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and so far no issues, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Hey Hammer, have a look atthis http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=MP3658&keywords=MP3658&form=KEYWORD its a really tidy solution and then you can charge any usb from you car. I use a short USB to micro USB cable which I can also use elsewhere.

Cheers kiwitrc. I've got a Belkin model of that somewhere. I need to buy some cables anyway so might use that option. Thanks!
