Really pleased with the battery - full 48 hours since last charge, 7h30m SOT and 1d16h standby time. 15% remaining. S25U

Bluetooth on connected to watch all the time, 2 sims. Wifi on all the time. SOT is mostly chat apps, browsing social media and very very light puzzle games (sudoku).

AOD is off and performance profile is standard. I've read about people changing this to light to get exceptional battery life.

Not really pleased with UI7. Pull down menu seems bloated and clunky with no option to remove the bottom items I wont use (Nearby devices, Home device control, Smart view, modes).

Widgets seem clunky too. Cannot fit the exact same widgets and layout on home screen that I had on my S22 - all standard widgets - weather, clock, calendar.

I do like the scrolling Apps drawer though.

Now Brief is pretty much useless - just provides weather, my sleep and rest and a playlist suggestion I 'might enjoy'

I was really used to curved edges (Moved from S8 to S22U to S25U) - cannot do side swipe actions easily or access edge panel easily - this may be because my cover has a lip but nonetheless, still a bit annoying.

What are your thoughts?

The wife has the S25+ and almost identical battery life though I need to see her SOT.

Do you have AOD enabled? I find it drains battery a lot. Average like 4-5hrs SOT for past 3 days, have disabled that since midday today, will observe tomorrow.

90% wifi, some youtube/spotify/discord/firefox

Have spoken to Samsung Jet black and Green are out of stock and will ship with in this month but not specific date. I will wait till tomorrow and See Noel Leeming trade in and get $600 gift card and $300 trade in boost.

but there are people who ordered on the 28th or 29th for the jetblack and have already received it. most of us who ordered on the 23th is still not getting it. maybe next time we shouldve  wait it out as well. doesnt make sense at all why the early bird doesnt get it first 😤

BTW: The fine print says the Noel Leeming gift card expires 2 months from date of issue. Harvey Norman's card is good for a year, but don't think they do the good trade in offer.

Jetblack now shipping from 27 March for the Ultra on website. Not sure when previously made orders will ship. Unlikely to be better but good chance to see what deals replace the launch ones.

Followed up with Samsung this morning and got this

Regular updates lol... I ordered on 24th Jan and haven't had a single update since, I filled in the online contact form last Thursday which said 24-48hrs response time, still nothing. I asked to be sent any color that is in stock as I don't want to be waiting forever, doubt they will but worth a try.
