Things i love about the One....

Aluminium body, its still beautiful and hardy, 8mths without a case and it still looks good

Speakers, i think i would struggle to go back to mono non front facing speaker

Camera, the more i play with the camera the better it seems, at first i was very disappointed, especially coming from a Lumia 920, I would argue that overall i get as good a pics from the One as the wife's iPhone 5s

The one thing i hate is the volume buttons, i seem to always lower the volume when i grab the phone

Not a great M8 video review, but gives you an idea of the differences. That camera seemed a little slow to open, but the new interface looked interesting. The sound did seem worse to me, but I guess that's just a matter of manually setting the EQ profiles since Beats is gone.

I'm really interested in the dual camera tech from everything that I've read, but asides from that I'm still super happy to stick with my 2013 One.

It seems this was filmed on the 19th Feb. A lot of changes could of happened.

Hard to judge sound quality from a video.

The new white Sense 6 UI looks very nice, I could probably handle moving that from the GPe, seems far more consistent.

As an aside the poster has already been tracked by HTC America via the IMEI he failed cover, they publicly promised harsh consequences for breaching the NDA, dumb thing to do by that guy.

Does anyone have any idea when the HTC One 4.4 update is releasing for NZ phones? I haven't got it yet and I thought it was supposed to be released a while ago?

I'll also be quite sad if Beats audio is removed from the HTC One M8. Because, sure it might have not sounded super good but I think it was good to have that option and I think it made certain types of music sound better.

Not necessarily good news for those waiting for KitKat on the HTC One... HTC One KitKat update suspended in the UK following user difficulties.

It's being tested at the moment. The bug in the English builds has already been fixed, a similar one affected the Dev Edition, there's a new OTA expected soon to fix those issues.

There will be no Beats on the new One, but all sources say the sound quality is superior to the current One.

The website pocketnow is reporting that HTC have suspended the rollout of 4.4.2 in Europe because of 'difficulties' being experienced by some users. Sometimes it pays to not be on the bleeding edge of updates....
Meanwhile my One just purrs along on 4.3.
However, I am beginning to get sucked in by the teasers being leaked about the M8. I....must.....resist.....I......don't......need.......a.......new........phone.

I recently returned my HTC One to JB HiFi for repair (purple tint camera issue), and I've just been issued a brand new device! I love the HTC One, however the temptation of the new HTC One M8 is so great that I'm considering an upgrade.

Would anyone be interested in buying my brand new replacement HTC One M7? It's the VODAP021 version (Android 4.3) and has excellent build quality, no gaps, no uneven grills or buttons. Comes with the box and everything that came in it originally, as well as a smokey grey Incipio Frequency case (excellent condition).

Awesome stuff...thanks! Any chance of Vodafone putting up a pinned discussion topic or similar on the community site listing the status of device updates? I know that many of the big carriers across the ditch and elsewhere do this, and it would go a long way toward end users like those who frequent this board being less "in the dark" about updates.

Sweet! I cannot wait to get kitkat on my HTC One! Although I'm also interested whether HTC will bring the new sense version with the m8 to the HTC One. Because my mother with her s3 found the updates to be really minimal after the s4 released.

Sense 6 will be coming to the current One in the second half of the year. Much like they did with Sense 5 for the One X a few months after the One came out.
