lokhor: I get the feeling that either none of the Telcos have pricing or they are waiting on each other before releasing pricing info

I'd say you're absolutely right - it's all academic anyway, until they get their allocations of stock.

True that. As it stands now I'll probably be getting mine through Clove

Yeah, i'll probably do the same and order from Mobicity or Clove tomorrow.
Pebble Blue for me.

I'd suggest most suppliers will have at least an initial supply of stock now or VERY Shortly.

Im stubborn and quite childish, they haven't mentioned a thing apart from 'Coming Soon' so overseas will get my money.

Well you are entitled to do whatever you wish of course, but in actual fact both Telecom and VF have stated they will release on the 29th in line with the world wide release. You won't get it from Clove that quickly, plus you will not have local warranty.

I am not saying don't buy from overseas, I have done so myself, before, but usually because VF follows 6 months behind with release of new phones and I must have my toys now.

I saw that the other day. Now thats a delicious plan!!

Just had a thought about the Telcos in New Zealand. Why are they re-hyping the phone. The phone was already hyped and then officially announced and prices/plans are now out.
Then on NZ Telcos websites, there is no information on the phone, no prices, just coming soon(May 29th). Haven't we done all that with the lead up to May 4th?

I thought these phones had an international warranty? If that is true, could you guys that want to buy from Clove actually get it fixed in  New Zealand if it breaks down?

Hi
Question do reviewers get there hands on new handsets like the s3 before the release date so we can get an idea of its good/bad points before release.

is it normal for NZ telco's to release pricing before getting phone, Telecom certainly don't so don't really see the issue now as it really makes no difference given they are both likely to release on the 29th.

The pricing shouldn't be a surprise given we already know what it is overseas and is more expensive than the One X. If past experience is anything to go on it'll be around $1200 and will depend on the plan the telco's give it. Given they are new hot items they will get premium prices and why not its the same as any other business with new product.

I think its great they will release at same time as the resty of the world and shows the telco's have realised the Android market is as significant as the Apple Iphone is. Takes time for change butr think we are catching up with the rest of the world in timings if nothing else.

I'll be dissapointed if it's as high as $1199 but it probably will be. They are always around $300 more than retail upon release normally, though $999 is the universally sold price of the HTC One X but I am not sure what it's overseas RRP was compared to what the GS3 will be ? Anyone know?
