4.5hrs of screen on time yesterday, that's with WiFi/BT/screen on half volume (with adaptive on), multiple push email accts, FB etc etc, basically just using it as it is designed to be used like a normal consumer, and that's not playing videos etc which is relatively low power usage, that is FB, web etc

I would have loved to have this level of performance from any of my previous generation flagships, no matter what rom/power saving tricks etc i tried I could never get even close to that

If we could bolt a better camera onto it, this thing would be close to the perfect phone/phablet.  :)

Love the phone, Agree: the camera could be better. However, I discovered the camera is fairly useless on Automatic mode (not focusing properly). But if you change it to manual mode and click on screen where you want to focus, it actually does a very decent job. Maybe something in the default Camera App?

Looking forward to the update, but getting a Network Error at present. :(

The build quality is a bit dodgy. My first one refused to recognise any sim. I have a friend whose sim card holder seems unreliable (it normally doesn't get calls or texts!). The earphone socket seems to be a weak point. Another friend's has crapped out. Mine doesn't connect well.

I still love the phone. I've just ordered some Bluetooth headphones from Aliexpress :-)

If you use the Warehouse Stationary 5% price guarantee on Harvey Norman's current price, you can get this phone for $210, which I think is the lowest you've been able to get it for since the Warehouse Stationary price mixup.

The SU6 I got for my mother some months ago is clocked at 1.5 GHz while the one I bought yesterday is at 1.46 GHz, does anyone know why?

Possibly different rounding in the different OS version?

Is there any reason why this phone has an ancient version of the Google clock app installed with updates to it disabled? When you go to the app in the Play store, it shows "install" not "update". If you install, you get duplicate clock apps as the old one stays put. You have to disable the old one. Even then there seems to be residue of the old clock app remaining, like AM/PM on the lock screen clock.

I think you can do better for the money if you are willing to go chinese. The Redmi note 3 is far superior and even the meizu note 2 should perform better.

although i am starting to consider switching to vodafone on one of my prepays because Telecom doesnt do carryover.

which chinese manufacturer builds the smart ultra? i did read it but forgot.

What's the software situation like on those phones? The SU6 is comfortably close to stock android. Do they even have the google play store?
