own3d: What about Telecom?

Telecom firmware isn't out yet on Samfirmware. You'll have to wait a bit longer.

I'm a newbie on the forum and the android world in general.
Been playing with my blue SGS3 for a week now.
Wanted to ask the community here a couple of questions.

1. Is anybody else' device acting funny - It shows unread messages on the home screen messaging icon, even when you've read all messages. I can see this issue cropping up on other random forums, but seeing as this one's the most active, i am hoping to get an answer here.
The interim solution i have found is that the nagging unread count goes away once i clear the RAM. But that isn't exactly ideal.

2. How long does the battery last with average use (say 10 minutes calling, 20 minutes txting and a couple of hours of wifi use) everyday. I am getting about 36 hours on a single charge.
Are you guys witnessing a massive difference in battery performance with the power saving feature on/off?

Cheers.

1. Looks like you have installed some third party notification app that count the messages or thirdparty SMS app without configured it correctly.
2. PowerSaving mode seems to cause wake lock when it is sleeping. Which could lead to power drain more than it actually benefiting. But in some case when you have low battery then switching to powersaving mode might keep your phone alive longer. PowerSaving mode will slow down your phone clock speed.

Hope these answers are good enough. :)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I think something called BetterBattery or something. Ask on here. I hardly using it because I don't really care about the wakelock lol.

Why in such urgency.

I will be in Auckland next weekend though. How far are you? I probably can send it through my colleague to Auckland Office. Then you can pick it up from the Company's office :)

PM me and we'll sort something out.

It's called Better Battery Stats.  You might have found it anyway if you've looked for BetterBattery in Google Play :)  I've never used it either. I think Lokhor has though.
