MurrayM: Will a USB OTG cable for the S2 work on the S3?

Reason I'm asking is because I need an OTG cable for my S3 but most of the cables listed on Trade Me say they are for the S2 and make no mention of the S3 (probably because it's too new).  Do both the S2 and S3 use a micro B connector?

I bought one of these off Trademe and it works fine - pretty reasonable price!

Yeah that was one I saw, but there are similar looking ones that say they are for the S2 that are half that price, i.e. http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/accessories/data-cables/samsung/auction-486062625.htm

All this talk about Fast Dormancy: does 2Degrees support it and would I be correct in assuming that it would be set appropriately in the SIII bought from WHS (=2D handset)?

Vodafone and 2D support it.
Telecom does not.

This is correct. Easy to tell if FD is causing wakelocks too. Just use BetterBatteryStats and set to Kernel Wakelocks

Which wakelocks does NZTF have? if you're referring to my article on Fast Dormancy then try setting to 'Since charged' if its still not showing anything under Kernel Wakelocks then you have problems.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Hmm....on my SII (with Automatic Brightness unticked), I could pull down the status bar slightly and move to the left to go darker and right to go brighter. However, since I installed a custom ROM the day I got it, I can't remember if it's a stock feature or not? Reason I'm asking is because it doesn't seem to work on the SIII?

I can't seem to do this on my stock S2 so I don't think it's a stock feature (unless I've not known about it for the last year!)

You don't need to do anything when you're on Vodafone/2Degrees.

Only disabled it if you're on Telecom.
