I can confirm that Noel Leemings in Wellington has stock, I just picked mine up at lunch. (;

I am SO mad at Noel Leeming right now! After my local store said they had no idea when their units would be arriving, I rang the online store. After initially trying to fob me off by telling me "we have no information about that,you'll have to contact Google"(!) I finally insisted, and got him to check my invoice number and was told "it will be here by the end of the month" - despite having pre-ordered on the very 1st day, I'm going to have to wait for nearly another 2 weeks to get mine. Not in a metro = 2nd class citizen, obviously.

I would honestly take that with a grain of salt. When I pre-ordered mine the sales guy really had no idea the tablet even existed and just read the expected delivery date off the screen - which was the last week of July, so it was rather a shock when I got the call today. The NL website has not been updated today either so I bet the person who told you end of the month just read it off there.

Chances are it is already on its way to your local store.

No, it's definitely not. I was so mad I rang the central 0800 number to make a formal complaint, and the very helpful young lady who took my complaint found out that my store, Hastings is one of only 2 in their Central region that did NOT receive any stock in this shipment - Napier, 20 kms away, received 2 units. She said she would try to find out why and get back to me. Nothing yet.

I just had a ring from my local store telling me my unit was in, the rep I spoke clearly did succeed in getting one of Napier's sent over for me. Happy now, the moral of the story is ALWAYS COMPLAIN!

Yep - can confirm. Just been round to Tory St NL (on the basis of Vinnieg's earlier comment!) and bought one for myself. I didn't pre-order as I'm leaving for a month in Europe next Wed and hadn't expected them to be in before I left. So thanks for the heads up - I have mine (yet to charge). Will be able to give it a good thrashing while away on holiday!

By the way, NL Tory St had two units left as at about 2:05 p.m.!!

Wasn't it pointed out a few pages back that the pre order was just that, an order. Not an early delivery
