Does anyone know of a good quality, ideally air vent, but suction cap is potentially ok, holder suitable to hold a Note 9? Must have good quality tighten and release mechanism that won't jam or outrightly fail after very few open/closes.

I am using exactly this for my S8+ and Mate 10 Pro though not sure if it will fit a Note 9 though:

It uses the weight of the phone to hold it down in place and it's car vent, just lift the phone up for automatic release.

I have had one of these in each car since the Note II days and they have been flawless.  Fits my s8+ with a bit to spare so it should fit the Note 9.

Battery does seem better than the s9+  normally with deezer playing on the way to work i would be down to 95% currently at 97%

Same here so it's likely to be picked up today for delivery tomorrow.

I am going to get Winston Peters onto this injustice.  You north islanders get cheaper petrol, better weather and your Note 9's a day early.   Also I went to Tauranga one time (just the once) and there are girls doing their shopping in the supermarket wearing bikini tops.  You don't get that down in the chilly south...
