CdTDroiD: I was disappointed in the One X after a few days, Plus now with Jellybean out (Android 4.1) the Galaxy Nexus is so awesome, I bought one today to develop on and I am amazed by the changes Google have made.

Taking that into account, as well as the price and other things, I would hands down go for the Galaxy Nexus.

Trust me ;) You wont be disappointed with it.

How many galaxy nexus-es have you bought?

I saw the S3 again today, screen looked nice but the phone itself seemed cheap well not cheap but not up to standard with some thing like the HTC One X. Going to see if I can get my hands on a galaxy nexus but not sure where to find one (In Christchurch).

I was tossing up between these two phones as well.  I like the camera on the One X but I wanted instant OS updates of the Nexus.  I ended up buying a Nexus off the google play store for NZD$500 delivered.  While the Nexus camera isn't as good as the others from what I've read it's not horrendous and definitely a step up from my HTC Desire.

1. Setup google wallet with a NZ Credit Card but a US mailing address (I use www.shipito.com Oregon address so no sales tax :-).
2. Use a VPN that exits in the states (I use proXPN cause it's free).
3. Buy your phone (shipped to shipito then NZ).

It's quick, easy and cheap.
