Neets: Those who pre-ordered with Noel Leemings, are they contacting you with confirmation the Nexus 7 is in store waiting for pickup?

I haven't had an email or phone contact to advise mine is available, but it was on pre-order. Unless the South Island shipment is a day delayed or whatever, for the extra time it takes to reach these depths.

yes... they called me on the contact number that I left on their pre-order form..

The post right above yours, Neets, suggests people already have them in the South Island.

I picked up mine from Riccarton Noel Leeming where I had preordered last week sometime.

They didnt have time to ring or email me, I saw on here that some people had gotten theres and I rang up and they said they had only been in store for 30mins.

So south island hasnt taken longer...

Got mine from Noel Leeming today from Albany, didn't pre-order, just rang them up at around 2pm asking them to hold a unit

Anyone know of a decent rss reader for it? Google reader is nothing more than a blown up phone version

gReaderPro is the best RSS reader for Android. Period.

For tablet news readers Google Currents is quite nice of course.

My friend uses pulse reader on his media pad. I haven't used it myself but it looked fairly cool

I walked in to Noel Leeming Silvia park tonight and picked one up. They still have 4 or 5 left.

First impressions - the screen is a little washed out and sub par compared to the galaxy nexus...

I've re-read the post immediately above mine, several times, but I don't see what you see.

Anyway, NL phoned home to advise it's ready for pick up which is great, not that I can use it.  It's my birthday present. I have to be patient until the end of the month.

I've ordered one via a mate in London, can't wait. My first tablet :P

I'm especially keen to use it as a remote for my Canon DSLR.

Think he was implying that because somebody asked "What is the weather for CHCH".

Anyway, Happy early Birthday :P

Is geekzone optimized for tablets? It fits my screen perfectly and doesn't have any ads and crap down the side...

I prefer the full GZ site on my 7" Tab.
(View site in landscape and pinch-zoom in/out)
NL Riccarton has a live Nexus Tab on display. Nice build with it's faux leather back and smooth operation.
