Thanks. I took the liberty of helping you:

1.Cut the image to just the important bits
2.Uploaded to Geekzone because the original Imageshack is a piece of crap hosting full of popups and malware.
3.Edited your post with the better behaved version of that image

Back on topic, it says "bonuses are pre-installed"... Didn't you have the movie on the tablet? And other software already there? Sure it's not the same as your selection of what to spend the $25 on, but if it's in the screenshot...

Nope, nothing is pre-installed aside from the usual Google apps that every Android tablet/phone comes with. No movie or otherwise.

Since stevenz has got his $25 USD using a USA proxy, I would say that you will be able to get yours by using the Market Enabler applications.

We have used this in the past to get the Australian offer for free Navigon and maps, check this article for more information.

I also got the $25 by proxy after deleting the tablet etc

When i called DS about the "free pre loaded bonus" and how its not pre loaded at all, they came back with "our product team says it is" I then went back with "did you product team check because the movie comes from the play store/market and NZ does not have access to ebook/movies or did they just copy and paste from another website" I was then put on hold for about 10 minutes while they talked to the product team.
They came back with "we will look into this" and next thing you know its off their website and still have not heard anything back from them, this was 3 weeks ago.

Rude customer service, saying I was wrong and did not like being told that they were.

Go to the store and ask to talk to the manager, show him the photo and tell him that you're very disappointed about this.

menabassily: I had a similar situation with DickSmith before, when I got something that has a price tag of $49.99 and when I took it to pay for it, they scanned it and said "oh, it's the wrong tag, this is $79.99" and when the guy showed me the correct tag, I found out that it doesn't match the product title or description.

Anyway, I stood my ground and asked for an explanation, so they instead of explaining it, offered to give it to me with the same (wrong) price tag on it. So I got it finally for $49.99.

The situation went smoothly, and there was no need to do anything, the sales person talked to the manager and then everything then went very nice and smooth.

Little bit different than this situation. Look up "invitation to treat", they didn't have to sell you the product at the price advertised regardless of whether it was the right/wrong cost. They just accepted your offer probably because they didn't want to deal with your any more.

In this case, DSE mislead (even if unintentional) sales customers by promising something they were never going to be able to deliver.

Keep contacting them if you want an alternative, otherwise as others have said use a market enabler.

I'm curious:

how come the credit doesn't work?

is the content just geo-blocked by Google?

Is it tied to the country of your Gmail address etc?

Does it know you're in NZ because of the IP address the first time you connected it to WiFi?

Well good news, they finally e-mailed back (I guess my Facebook post got their attention) and offered a $25 refund :D

Good know to pursuing these things pays off, but it shouldn't have taken so much effort to get their attention.

This is when you email back and ask about the movie, and how you will be happy to get it on blu ray LOL
