There used to be a little place inside Kosco on Blenheim Road. Unsure if it's still there, though. Dick Smith does some parallel imported stuff. Other than that, best bet is Trade Me.

if you want a painless DOA claim then communicate with the supplier now and return it immediately. The longer you delay the more likelihood that they will send for repair. Don't try self fixes.

If a post doesn't add anything constructive to a thread, or is rude and/or likely to cause offence, or if the FUG has been breached, then sometimes they are hidden. It does happen occasionally.
