Liking the multi-window on the tablet a lot!

Stayed with CM (nightly) on the phone for now as I couldn't be bothered faffing about with restoring everything with a switch to OmniROM + the extra steps required to regain root when the OS should have it built in. Hopefully the black screening on phone calls has been fixed.

Gosh, so many alike..

ASUS TF101 eeePAD running Katkis x.28 = Android 4.4.3
LG Nexus 4 running Mahdi-Rom 2.6 = Android 4.4.3

Didn't very log for the devs to incorporate 4.4.3 into their Roms, awesome work...

Dingbatt: I still believe the Nexus devices are aimed at the geeky end of the market rather than general consumers. For most OEMs the customer experience far outweighs the current-ness of the underlying software.

Security updates if/as needed are equally important, I do recall Google saying they are trying to rearchitect parts of Android so common components can be updated behind the scenes to avoid the fragmentation issue more (i.e. while leaving radio firmwares etc alone). They kind of went dark on that.

So while the likes of Samsung, LG, et al are focusing on the 'pretty things up' aspect for their flagship devices, they also do need to have the other aspects in mind, and it's not like there haven't been CVE's reported against Android as an OS before... http://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-1224/product_id-19997/Google-Android.html (although some/most seem very specific).

Wife's Global GSM Moto G just got 4.4.3 last night. Doesn't change a whole lot, but you would expect that for a 0.0.1 incriment release.

My Nexus 4 received it this morning
Have updated, aside from the new Dialer/People icons haven't noticed much change (and thankfully so far no issues)
