michaelmurfy: Installed it on my One Plus One (very bleeding-edge CM12 build) however really missed screen off gestures so flashed back to stock. Android Lollipop is so beautiful though.

The screenshots I have seen prompts me to agree lollipop blooms great. I will have to wait for Samsung as my S5 and TabS are too new and I won't risk voiding warranty by side loading. Hopefully my Nexus 7 will be done in the next day or so.

Im looking forward to some kind of build for my S4 i9505

Where did you find these? Did you have to build it yourself? Im looking forward to some kind of build for my S4 i9505

In my case it was a pre-built package on XDA, wouldn't recommend it just yet.

Flashed. I don't like waiting. The only thing better than new stuff is free new stuff!

Had some downtime at work and thought I'd follow some tutorials. Never tried it before, took me about 40 minutes all up while doing other stuff at the same time. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but was not as simple as installing from a factory image on an iPhone!

What guides did you follow? I am keen to get it done as well.

Google's own guide is pretty straight forward

So i hope the carrier update process is a darn sight slicker than the google version.... all those web instructions aren't quite so straightforward. My 2D nexus took 5 mins in the end to update, but 50 mins of faffing about getting driver, cables and no end of "tools" to assist with the process. xda-developers still cater for much, 13 years after the original xda came out.

thing is still booting up...

Generally all you need is the google usb driver http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html for adb and fastboot purposes

sxz: Flashed the update on my N5. Seems to run OK. So far - one major annoyance:

Vodafone Sim Toolkit has always run as an 'active' app. I can't stop it. I got used to it. Now with the new notification center, every time I turn my screen on I see this:

It is very frustrating. Can I disable the Sim tool kit without rooting my phone? Can I disable notifications? 'cos I can't figure it out!

As Steve has pointed out move to a more recent 128k SIM this happens on the older 256k

My nexus 10 is awaiting the OTA update, i'm happy to wait than to do a manually install.

Hey, do you guys do a factory reset after the install?

The little things make the biggest difference.

OTA update now available for the 2degrees build KTU84Q, it's a big download though so will get this when I'm at work and can use the fast free wifi haha.

I've been mashing the Check for update button all morning and still no sign of it being sent out via 2degrees yet.
Any idea if they are staggering the roll-out?

Google do a staggered rollout over a couple of weeks, and unfortunately that update button doesn't do much at rollout time:

This is from Dan Morrill, a Google engineer in this reddit post -

Rollouts are conducted in phases. Typically they start at 1% of devices for around 24 - 48 hours; we watch the return rates and resulting device checkins and error reports (if any), and make sure nothing looks wrong before sending it to more. Then typically it goes to 25%, 50%, 100% over the course of a week or two. What the percentages mean is that when your device checks in, it has a 1% chance (for example) of being offered the OTA. If it doesn't (randomly) get an offer, it will never get an offer until the next batch. In other words, once your device checks in and gets turned down, that's it until the next batch. Mashing on the "check for updates" button just causes your device to check in again, and get automatically turned down again.

As indapie2000 pointed out, the 2degrees OTA update is available to download. If you are running a standard 4.4.4 2degrees Nexus5 (check the build number is KTU84Q in the settings), you can download the OTA from here.

Then you can effectively do the OTA yourself by sideloading it onto your N5 - here's how to do it with a Windows PC:

You need to enable USB debugging - so if you haven't already, enable the developer options now, and turn it on. (Settings > About Phone > Build number then tap the build number 7 times to turn on developer options)

Use adb to sideload the update. If you haven't already got adb, you can get a great small installer from this thread. You should also install an adb driver before connecting your N5 - get a windows one here. Once you've installed those, plug your N5 (in USB debugging mode) into your computer, copy the downloaded zip file into the Minimal ADB directory and then open a command prompt in that directory (right-click, open command prompt here). Type adb devices to make sure that adb is working and your N5 is connected. You will get a serial number and a device. If it says "unauthorised", you will have to click on the authorisation prompt on your N5.

Type adb reboot recovery

Use the volume rocker on your phone to select "Apply update from ADB"

Press power to select that option

Type adb sideload 67fdc56df808024ba5ebd95d4e16358c3b4f96cb.signed-hammerhead-LRX21O-from-KTU84Q.67fdc56d.zip (simplest just to paste this in to the command prompt rather than typing it - use right-click to paste)

The package should upload to your phone, and then your phone should verify and install the update. When it's finished, it will say Install from ADB complete, and you should use the power button to accept the reboot system now prompt.

I flashed it last night, without any major problems. A lot easier to do than I was expecting to be honest.

One of my favourite features at this point is the trusted bluetooth devices. While my Moto 360 is paired and is in range of the phone, I have no need to input my usual Pin Code to unlock the device.

I still need to spend some time getting used to all the features but all up it has been fantastic so far.

Tried to manually adb flash it on my Nexus 5. Had to reflash the img files one by one due to an sig img error, and finally got it going..

I got sick of waiting for the OTA update to hit my Nexus 5 so just sideloaded the OTA update which saved having to do a full factory reset.

So far it's great, the only problem I've encountered is the new email client doesn't work with Exchange 2003 and brings up an error every few seconds saying Exchange services has stopped. Considering all the problems with Exchange in 4.4 as well I've just decided to install Nine for my two Exchange/ActiveSync accounts and it works beautifully.
