DonGould:
Looking at the MS product I'm up for twice or 3 times the cost of most of those tablets, but I don't currently understand the benefits.

networkn: Does the SP2 have the same click with the pen for screenshot?
nathan: I suggest you go try it if you think I'm full of manure.
Microsoft addresses N-Trig concerns in Reddit response
TLD: We used to get at least a couple of Lenovo nano-book owners come whining on the Adobe Photoshop forum every week, because they couldn't use Photoshop. They bought a 13 inch pico-book with a 3200x1800 screen, and without doing any research — as in having a basic understanding of the bleeding obvious — they wonder why they can't see the tool icons or menus on their new femto-book. I found it hard to be sympathetic.
The Photoshop team eventually — as in 18 months after they fixed the problem for Mac owners — cobbled up a 2 x UI for Windows users, but only if you had Photoshop CC, and possibly only if you used 8.1.
Anyway... If you want a serious tablet that runs Windows, and gives you a Wacom Cintiq type user experience, have a look at the Wacom Companion. Bugger! They have changed the name _again_ and it is now called the Cintiq Companion. The only downside is that it cost about twice as much as an iPad!
On the plus side it uses the fine tipped Wacom stylus (I don't know what the MS SP uses), has W8.1, and has lots of connectivity. You can drive a 1080 projector with one.
I'd like one, but not at that price. I'd like a Cintiq, but can't easily fit one into my work area. Least ways, not one of the bigger ones. Wacom do a 13HD version of the Cintiq now, that is about the size of my Intuos 4 so would fit, but I'm not convinced it would add to my workflow (I like big screens).
DonGould:I hate trying to screen print on my S4 and have no idea on my iPhone5
On the S4 it's meant to be easy but the thing seems to just ignore the button presses half the time.
nathan: If you're ever in AKL central, more than welcome to come into Microsoft, L5, 22 Viaduct Harbour Avenue and have a handson play with a Surface Pro 3 and have us give you a demo etc.
IronH: Have you tried using the palm swipe method? Always worked flawlessly for me.
joker97: surface pro 3 wifi see engadget link
1. Is it 5G as well as 2.4G wifi? We couldn't tell and she had no idea.
I use the OneNote Desktop App(The one included as part of the office suite) and that has an export page option where you can export to pdf/ word among others. I assume the Modern UI app is simlar?
2. How do you copy and paste, or get the marked up image out of NoteOne? We couldn't figure that out. We could see how to print, we couldn't see how to share. I had been warned that the interface was not as intuitive as one might like, and that person was proven right.
3. I am perplexed about which option I should buy. i5 or i7? It's Windows, so I'm just going to assume that I do need 8Gb of RAM and I'm just being a dick thinking otherwise.
The pen is blue tooth and did not like the high noise environment at all. We had some considerable trouble getting it to pair with the tablet.
The magnetic power and keyboard options are fantastic! I don't know how much I like the power with respect to contacts getting dirty and failing over time, but this business of plugging stuff in and it not releasing is just a pain and also leads to faults. The connector on my iPhone 5 does not excite me and I'm just seeing more and more USB micro faults on stuff all the time.
