Change in process made it easier. It's likely limited in initial release for some good reason.

gzt: It's a regional release plan last time I looked. Don't know currently.

The official page says enter your email or SMS to get a download link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/microsoft-edge-mobile

"Get the Microsoft Edge app on your iOS or Android device and browse seamlessly across your devices! Enter your mobile phone number or e-mail address and we'll send you a download link."

"By sending your phone number or email, you agree to receive a one-time automated message from Microsoft to this mobile phone number or email. This consent is not necessary to use Microsoft Edge. Standard SMS rates apply."

Received email* and I find that Microsoft automatically signs me up to a mailing list that I never wanted. Sign, do Microsoft really hate their customers or something? stuff like that makes me run faster into Google's embrace.

* I used a junk email account to receive the message - they didn't get my main account email address.
