Anyone succeeding on Spark NZ? Pixel 2 goes through the motions "You're ready!" but no message tab appears on Edge/Chrome.

Bugger! The wife's phone doesn't have it yet, was planning on sending myself the go ahead text to update my home theatre system when she went to work.

My phone is with Spark and my internet is 2degrees. And obviously works for me.

It's working ok for me (on Skinny), but have found it loses its connection sometimes (may be the cruddy phone I'm using while mine is away for repair...).

So useful being able to type long messages very quickly!

Thanks. It seems AdGuard was the problem. Had to uninstall it; just setting it to not filter the site messages.android.com was not sufficient.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

AdGuard on the phone or PC? I'm running AdGuard on my phone (local VPN mode, no HTTPS filtering) and it works just fine. Phone is on 4G (Spark), running Oreo 8.1 on OnePlus 6.

My PC is behind a corporate proxy/firewall and it works just fine.

I'm on Spark, Android 7 on Galaxy S6. I just downloaded the messages app from Google Play and it just worked. Not quite sure why people are talking about needing some update - unless it was something I alread had?

It's handy to have when my phone is out of reach on the charger or for typing in longer messages, but seems quite slow at times.

Its working great for me on a s8+. I use SMS for communicating at work and this is soo much better than side sync.

How does this compare with the Samsung Messages app (apart from the web bit)?

If install Android Messages, need to make it the default Messages app.

If I do that, do I retain my historical messages currently in Samsung Messages?
