johny007g:

I received email this afternoon from Samsung item on the way which is only charger, then checked status in my account and said for the watch order placed and charger on the way and checked track and trace and charger has been picked up so will probably receive tomorrow. So not looking good for watch delivery and if your date 15th Sept is correct means probably wont get until next Monday and will just have to bear the wait and will never ever ring Samsung as customer service there is horrendous i think in Canada.Did read somewhere today somebody trying to order online or in shop in UK and apparently sold out there.

It's getting delivered to the store so hopefully that means Saturday courier delivery but as we all know anything could happen.  I will pop in today and ask them why they assured it would be there before they had my money and then a few short hours after they had my money they said it would be delayed.

I think if a better launch offer pops up I will feel morally ok with cancelling and getting the other deal.  I have checked the web sites of the four retailers this morning and there isn't a mention of any but maybe they haven't updated their web sites yet.

I just hope I like Tizen or this will all be a $550 waste of time.  My experience with the S8+ (first Samsung since the Note 2) and the Note 9 has been very positive.  Gear VR beats the pants off Google Daydream so I am hoping that Tizen is more well thought out than Android Ware where they are trying to jam a whole phone OS into watch sized ram and CPU.  I also hope to get away from the battery drain that I have always had since getting the Android Wear watch.  Time will tell.

People don't understand the pain we feel with this delayed release stuff...

Battery drain on tizen is nowhere as bad as wearOS.  However with tizen you control it more by hand than being able to talk to it.

My pre-order with JB is still just processing. This despite the pre-order page stating it would ship one day before the official release date. Now the website is saying limited stock expect to ship within 5 - 15 days. Sounds a bit like the Note 9, far more interest than anticipated.

The Samsung shop claimed that the watches week held up in customs. I am not sure i fully believe them as surely they would have known that at noon yesterday when they took my money but that's what they said.

JB got back to me. Due to unforeseen circumstances etc. But should ship tomorrow, shipping charge refunded = result.

If anyone still wants to pick one of these up then code NEWTECH will get you $60 off and free delivery if you order off the Samsung web site. That's arguably better then the preorder bonus's because it's an actual discount, not some free stuff you don't need.

Hmmm, i got that code by signing up to the Samsung spam list on the web site. Try doing the same thing. It doesn't look like a unique code but maybe it has to be activated for your account.

what size etc?

Let me know how battery life is etc. I kind of want one but worried about the size of the 46 and don't want to go for the 42 as the battery is a lot smaller.

I share your dilemma. I decided i was more worried about the battery life in the end so went 46mm and figure i will get used to the size. I am still not sure though, will only know after i get it.
