Can anyone confirm the network locked status of the 7.1?

PBTech states it's locked to Spark, even though the 7 plus, 6.1, 5.1, 3.1 are unlocked.

Noel Lemming specifies it as unlocked (though Spark is the carrier)

It is not locked. I have tested my units with Vodafone SIM cards.

Be a bit rich to pay full price for a locked phone, unless sold as such, but usually locked phones are discounted. Interested in the outcome.

PBTech have relabeled it as unlocked.

Meanwhile, Harvey Norman have listed it as Spark Nokia 7.1

Next curiosity is when the cases become available.

The 7.1 Plus is still not on Pricespy so I presume its still not hugely available? I expect parralel imports to be closer to $500.....

Has anyone tried another camera APK like googles pixel camera software on it? The phone has all the hardware to be taking better photos than it appears on reviews, so as we know software makes a big difference in the cameras.

Noel Leeming has the 32GB version on for $498, which when combined with the $20 Black Friday voucher would get her down to $479. Probably what I'll go for to replace my Lumia 640, but pondering if the 3GB is enough on modern Android, or should I be stretching for the 64GB/4GB variant?

So 2 shops with the 7.1, buy mobile $529

The big question is, is the 7.1 plus coming?

Probably because they source their ones from Spark. I have a "Spark" Huawei P10Lite which I use on 2D. No Spark branding on it at all.

And cases, yeah, thats always fun. I really struggled to find a decent case for the P10Lite that wasnt a $2 shop special.
