d3Xt3r: You can bypass the Factory Reset Protection using this method: https://youtu.be/5JO7nj0ij9M

Man that was so promising but then it wouldn't let me open a web page for security reasons. Seems like they patched this exploit in the build my tablet has.

Thanks anyway.

If you can find older official roms for your device, then they may still be vulnerable to this exploit and you can complete the process. I did this with a Galaxy S7 edge.

How could I load a ROM without access to developer mode? Willing to try anything before sending to Samsung.

You could see if odin is supported to load the rom onto the device.  I don't think it will help however as you will still have the issue of the google or samsung lock on it.

If you have closed the gmail account why not just signup again with the same email address etc?

Odin can definitely fix this since it's on L. And depending on how old the kids are, you should consider Google family link.

So how do I allow usb debugging without any access to settings?

That ADB doesn't seem to like windows 10. I'll keep searching.

Got a pass on Odin, all looked sweet then gave the same verify your account lock.

Last possible chance is finding an old version of firmware for t280 model. No luck so far but thanks for your help.

Take it to Samsung csp in Albany and they can fix it if you explain what happened.

I had to do this once for a work provided device with a Google account on it with device protection.

Yeah might have to. I just seem to enjoy building or fixing something for hours on end that would have cost bugger all to get fixed/built by an expert.

You're not going to get around the FRP lock by loading roms, either take it to someone with an unlock box or send it to samsung (I imagine samsung will charge you as it's hardly a warranty issue)
