Just wrote a big reply and it went missing!

Long story short I'm very happy with the performance. It's very snappy. Fingerprint & face unlock both under a sec easily. It's all very smooth. Think the high refresh rate screen helps make it feel smooth too. Massive improvement from my OP3.

I'm interested in the 5G and VoLTE compatibility across the 3 networks.

Seems most of the ones for sale in NZ are supplied as Spark phones though I see 2degrees list it as well. Vodafone doesn't seem to sell it. Is there any difference these days or do they have the same firmware and just a different sticker on the box/included SIM card?

Have you been able to verify VoLTE as working on all 3 networks? How about 5G on Vodafone?

Thanks.

I've also been looking at this phone, I'm not a huge fan of Samsung, but it has all specs I would like for a mid-range phone. One thing I noticed when looking at one in person in Noel Leemings the other day, is that it had a few games on it, can these be uninstalled or are they there permanently?

I've also been looking at this phone since about the start of this thread.  PB have it in their Black Friday sale for $589 this week, I think that will seal the deal for me.

Every damn time I buy something it ends up on special right afterwards. You're welcome.

I am thinking the same... I really don't want a Samsung though.

I have been trying to  convince myself that if I buy the Google Pixel 5a that eventually it's 5G and Volte will start working in New Zealand.

Great price drop though.

Awesome price. I'm not so excited about a return to Samsung but once I can confirm I can at the very least get VoLTE on Vodafone I'm pretty sure this is my next phone.

It is a shame you couldn't get your Xperia 10 III working on the networks, I saw that it also had a price cut.

Slightly annoying these networks lock us into either Samsung or Apple and whatever phones they sell directly...

I know that there is a few Samsung products being announced next weeks to replace the current range so I think that might be the reason they have taken suck a drastic drop in pricing.

From my research this or the S20 FE 5G are the best bang for buck, but the 20 FE camera is far superior.

My son got VoLTE on his standard (non 5G) A52 the moment I stuck his Kogan (Voda network) SIM card in, so I think the chances should be damn high for you…

That S20 FE is basically the same price I paid for the A52s. 😢

That is a mean deal.

It's for this reason I buy all my electronics during Black Friday 😀

Even before Black Friday was a thing in NZ I would always wait because even if you buy overseas and pay duty it always ended up being cheaper than NZ retail prices.

But now he stores are becoming more competitive.
