Got my new precious today, still setting things up but a couple of photos for you 'all to salivate over:

@MaxineN - the bug with the alert slider while browsing in Chrome is still there unfortunately :-(

Just curious - does this bug still exist if using a different browser? I can't see it being a major issue either way, but I tend to use Brave or Opera on mobiles.

Unsure. I can try another web browser as I still have my 12. Will let you know.

Doesn't happen on Firefox on the 12.

Looks like a Chromium bug.

I'm fairly certain that website isn't a scam but I don't think they are an "authorised store" either, at least not for NZ or AU. There's a Singapore version of the site which links to a shopping mall in Singapore just as the AU store does (and it seems to exist).

Without links for obvious reasons, the NZ and AU domains are registered to the same person, with the AU domain at one point belonging to a company located in the same area as the person. That AU company goes by the same name as an HK and SG company with a designation of "46523: Wholesale of handphones and other telecommunications apparatus [...]" in SG.

I assume it's just a reseller tapping into a market One Plus wont. I doubt you would get much support if something went wrong with the phone though...

So there are no NZ Retailers with display stock? I am not keen to buy without handling one, if I am honest.

Parallel Imported have also started selling the global version and it looks like their only brick and mortar store is in North Shore Auckland so could go check it out if you are in Auckland.

Just took the phone off charge using the 50W AirVOOC magsafe charger, took less than an hour to fully charge to 100%.

Used the 80W charger to charge it for the first time and that took less than 45 min, very happy with the speed, way better than the old 45W PPS on the S24U which usually takes a little over an hour.

SoT was an AWESOME 7 hours, lasting close to a day and a half.

In hand feel is great, noticeably narrower and lighter than S24U with no more corner pushing into the palm of my hand.

The thin polished aluminum frame has chamfered edges which the front and back glasses curve into to give it a seamless feel.

Strange bug - the slider works as expected on all of the browsers on my 12 (Chrome, Opera and the default Internet)

@mrgsm021 would it be possible to upload a video that demonstrates how much movement occurs when the phone is flat on a hard surface and you press on the phones screen? I am trying to guage how much better/worse than the Samsung that is. Don't worry, if it's a hassle, I am just curious as it's a real bugbear with the Samsung.

Pretty amateurish video but hope it shows the difference:

It is better on the 13 IMHO since the camera bump is bigger and takes up most of the upper half of the back, whereas on the S24U, the camera modules are off to the one side and so the rocking will be more obvious.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do and upload that. You did a fantastic job of demonstrating it, and I super appreciate the extra mile of the Sammy next to it too.

You made me smile :)

Not yet, I'll see what tomorrow brings, but I know know I definitely need it on my flagship short list and it's worth a trip to the shore to see one in person at the place that has them.

Missing the old days when there are heaps of OEMs to choose from.

Your choices will be even less if you didn't include the Chinese OEMs and those are the more innovative ones.
