I have read that telcos have a list of "approved handsets" that are allowed on their networks. Surely phones not on the approved list would still work otherwise how would tourists be able to use their phones they bring from their countries here? Anyway, time will tell.

Telcos have a list of banned IMEI - phones reported stolen or not paid for. There's no list of allowed phones.

I've got the Find X9 Pro - it's a great phone! I don't like the camera much (coming from an Iphone), but the battery is excellent.

@XinfinityoO then you will need to pay duty if the handset is imported into NZ and that price for a mobile phone is nuts!

From the reviews from across many YouTubers this phone is close to perfect as you can get from a camera and performance perspective.

I'll be buying one, even if it costs me 3k. It's going to take many years for the usual big players to come close.

It may still work on NZ telcos. I havnt heard it being bad as AUSSIE ones. They actually get emails about phones getting blocked. Lots of users on reddit with vivo and other phones have posted
