Yes but quite often they are already in the hands of a few pioneers who are not afraid to deal with parallel importers, or offshore based online sellers.
Its not like its an exclusive, and although its early days for 2 degrees yet, Telecom have never shown a propensity to compete in the handset space with Vodafone. Even now their offering is pretty average by comparison. If Vodafone released a non-binding roadmap, would it really lose an edge against the competition? It seems to me the competition (excluding 2 degrees) struggles to secure the "glamour" exclusive arrangements anyway ...
Got a letter today saying that I need to pay $130 GST etc. This is done by calling before 4:30 (I tried at about 4:36 - as soon as I got the letter - and got a recorded "our hours are..." message) so I'll need to do that tomorrow while at work. There's no option for online payment and no information about what happens after I pay; can I go to the post office and pick up the phone, or is it still sitting in Auckland? Will I have to wait until Monday for it? They don't make it easy!
