magu:
eXDee: I got my desire for $830NZD shipped. Somehow i dont think the Desire HD is going to be anywhere near this price.
Differences seem to be
-4gb internal memory
-8MP camera (dual flash?)
-4.3" screen.

Not that major for me tbh. If theres any software differences they will be hacked into original Desire ROM's

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it?

Mobicity.com.au before the price went up. 850mhz version too. It seems demand has pushed the prices up significantly.

Zeon: Man I've only just got a Desire and its about to be outdated!

I bought my Desire on the day I found out about the HD, the 4.3" screen is a major turn off so I dont see it that way. The way I see it is that as long as your device will handle android 3.0 then you should be pretty sweet for a while yet.

The power of these devices come from the applications, the specifications are less important to me.

Personally i'm not concerned, i've got way more value already out of my Desire than i ever would out of an iPhone.

I tend to stick with phones for longer than 12 months, so I think I get my money's worth every time.
