Cool.. firmware updates are pretty regular with this tablet - so hopefully 2.2 is just around the corner.. I've read around that 2.2 (froyo) is in testing at the moment to ensure compatibility across the platform..

That isn't Flash as such - it'll let you play video from a lot of sites but not use any type of interactive content.   Will run on pretty much any Android device (iOS too).

n4: Hey has anyone tied one of these:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Laptops/Laptops/Other/auction-325119300.htm

Would be interested to know how they compare to the Eken M001 for example.

They apparently have 1GHz processor, 10" (iPad size) screen and 1024x600 (Galaxy Tab) resolution. And 256MB RAM which has to be better. Not to mention Android 2.1, and other benefits.

Be careful of these. There was - at least - a time when everyone selling them had "incorrect spec info" (ie: lying bare-faced) about what processor they really had and what their performance was really like.

Skyfire tanscode the Flash video before sending to your phone, so can be quite unreliable. They released their Apple iPhone version and had to pull it from the Apple Store after a few days when their servers couldn't cope with the demand from Apple iPhone users who want acces to Flash video.

They have been releasing it on iPhone in "batches" as they deploy new servers.....

Android v2.2 on an ARMv7-equipped Android phone is the best Flash option.

I got one today and am completely disappointed from all the research I had done it appeared to be one of the better android tablets....

But now mine seems to have no longer responds to touch it will only let me slide from one "screen" to another and not pres and icon or even unlock it... :-(

I got it from Trademe, I've contacted the seller and they are going to replace it which is good... I hope the next one works properly
