Hey has anyone tied one of these:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Laptops/Laptops/Other/auction-325119300.htm

Would be interested to know how they compare to the Eken M001 for example.

They apparently have 1GHz processor, 10" (iPad size) screen and 1024x600 (Galaxy Tab) resolution. And 256MB RAM which has to be better. Not to mention Android 2.1, and other benefits.

I've just been looking myself at that.. thinking about it - but not sure who actually sells them directly rather then buying via 3rd party on TM or Sella..

anyone?

Bit more horsepower than a M001
Still a bit expensive in this country.
I'm watching them on eBay, here's one example.
Free shipping too.

Could be a newer model coming out with 512Mb ram.

Had a quick look, looks quite cool, just remember that this tablet will never run flash as it is ARM11 CPU. If flash support in the future is important then skip this tablet.

Yeah got it from Sella.co.nz heres the link http://www.sella.co.nz/general/computers/laptops/laptops/other/6sn44l/

They have a few other nicely priced electronics too..

disclaimer.. these are not my auctions but is the seller that I brought mine from.

This tablet does support Flash - it has Adobe Flash 10.1 already installed in Android 2.1.

So can you run flash, because ARM11 CPU isn't supposed to do flash, even with a 2.2 update.

Yeh the sella prices seem better than TM.
Here is another that could be a ZT-180 but the seller appears a bit dubious about what it is, or just dosent know.

Youtube application does not use adobe flash to display video.  Installing the adobe flash app from the market does not mean the tablet can display flash.  Flash is only supported in Froyo and above.  Anyways here is the link for information on the cpu - http://www.slatedroid.com/zt-180/3787-zenithink-zenithink-180-specifications-faking-not-armv7-a8-cor...

Do you have a link I could try to use to make-sure the flash it working? I know its installed because I installed it myself via APK package.

I'm aware it doesnt have the A8 processor, but as the manufacturer pack states it is an ARM v11 processor http://zenithink.us/zenithink-zt-180-android-tablet-p-28.html

Thats the site I read before buying so I wasn't under the assumption it had a better processor.

Thanks in advanced.

goto http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ in your tablets web browser, and you should see animated flash logo if flash is working on your device.  The reason I want flash is that you can stream video via flash from mediaportal using iPimp, and I expect other media extender software may rely on flash too.  The idea being that you can stream TV or videos from your HTPC and watch it in bed (lazy me)

Ok you are correct - even though it has Adobe Flash 10.1 installed, and Dolphin HD Browser has turned on the Flash plugin - it doesn't work - the flash won't load.

Never mind - oh well, I'm happy without Flash anyway.

Thanks again for that link :)
