There appears to be an update to version V10B_00, but having problems getting it loaded. The phone goes into yellow screen 'emergency mode' then stops, the LG update program gets to 4% progress then looses communications and prompts me to remove the battery to restart. (this isn't part of the upgrade process).

Anyone successfully managed to update their phone?

My phone comes up with the notification that V10B is ready, but settings still show its on V10a.

It says

"If you want to update your firmware, connect this device to PC with cable and open PC suite"

Did you plug in your phone and install the software? it's like a data stick the software is on the device.

Whose network were you, on I am using my P500 on VFNZ [until I change] and it still has 10A. I take it to get an automatic update does one need to be on 2degrees or just an Internet connection such as WiFi ?

BTW Can someone confirm vibrate works in silent mode ?

To fix connection problems with LG PC Suite and to update firmware mae sure that debugging is activated

home desktop, press menu button, go to application --> developemnt --> USB Debbuging

When you connect to Suite it should tell you there is an update available

Yes I've installed the software that came on the SD card.

I haven't tried the debugging option, will try it now and report back.

Still get the same error when trying to update to V10B in debugging mode, just doesn't seem to get past the 4% mark.

Ok, I've managed to update the phone to V10B_00, its either 1 of 2 things, I used my work PC which is running Windows XP (home PC running Windows7 Pro) and I also unmounted the SD card before preforming the update.

I'm not sure what if anything has changed from the update.

Let me know if this has worked for you.

I did.
I think the new software updates the email app and doesn't work with existing data in your cache.
Remedy: Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All->Email->Clear Data

You will need to setup the account/s again, but it works perfect after that.
Hope this helps.

Same problem for me. Bit of a pain setting up all three mail accounts again, but hopefully this won't happen too often.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz
