ArtooDetoo: @Plasmadog
Perhaps you could have taken your own advice and started a new topic?

But sometimes it seems the best approach is to use an existing one, n'est pas? :)

Cheers,

Hypocrisy isn't really an appropriate accusation for you to make in this context.

Someone suggested to the OP he look into the monster thread...and he explained why he didn't...and then had to defend that view from further attack.

To then describe that as "hypocrisy" isn't accurate...or helpful.

Bottom line for me is if I can't quickly locate the answer I'm seeking, I'll post a new thread.

End of story. No one need be grumpy about it. We all want to help, right?

I think you might want to re-read the thread. It was Plasmadog I was responding to, not the OP, and my comment about Plasmadog's hypocrisy was in relation to his complaining about mega-thread off-topic posts in this thread, something that was in itself off topic.

Ironic, don't you think? And yes, hypocritical. And I'm not grumpy - in fact the comments he made are in my opinion, laughable.

But thanks for your input anyway.

Cheers,
R2D2

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

Plasmadog: My reference to off-topic posts in the other thread was concerning purely personal banter, unrelated to anything about the phone or the wider discussion. Two separate replies on this thread suggested actually asking new questions in the other thread. The implication was that the OP should not have started this thread. That seems like a discouragement to me. I was responding to that, and yes, it may have been off the topic in the thread title, I felt that it was relevant to the discussion. Should I have raised my concerns in the other thread?

There is a direct reference to myself also which I am not happy with. Please discontinue to make any more implications unless you have absolute proof and are privy to my actual thought processes.

To say that I am being discouraging to the OP is offensive. My reason for referring the OP to the thread was that there was a likelyhood of increased visibility of his query. That's 100% genuine. We're all here to help and with all the Galaxy S users watching the mega thread, I wanted to make sure he received as much help as possible. I referred him to the thread. I have no qualms whatsoever in doing so when required. If he went, great. If he didnt, i still offered assistance here to make sure the query was covered. I didnt want his query passed over as often happens in here. Please explain where is the "discouragment"? Which particular words were discouraging? I'm keen to find out for the "next" time.
