Have you tried placing a white swans feather dipped in vinegar, rolled up in samsung warranty, tied with a strand of hair from a virgin and placed it under the computer you are trying to sync with? I'm surprised samsung havn't suggested this.

Ill setup a virtual machine and see if theres any updates for my phone. Thats the only reason I want it working so that when Samsung decide they want to be oh so nice and grace us with 2.2, then I can get it.

TBH You'd probably be better off flashing a rom using Odin. It's much more stable and less likely to brick your phone than Kies is. You can likely flash a 2.2 rom now as well (I'm unsure if a rom for this exists)

I think a rom for 2.2 is available for my phone, but I dont wana void the warranty, because if Kies bricks the phone, then I have someone to blame. Once the warranty is up however, ill do it because I should have a new phone by then. Lol

tardtasticx: Called Samsung. They told me that it was iTunes causing this issue, and the only way to get it to work is to uninstall iTunes. :/

That's a long straw to pull out.  At work we have  both on our PCs with no problems..
