Apparently there is a dock port on the Iconia and you can run a keyboard through it using the USB

True, although Asus' one also contains a battery that just about doubles up the tablet battery life to 16hrs...
That and the fact that when used, the table can be closed like a netbook and the screen is protected...

But interesting to know about the Iconia's dock. I'll look into this...

I see the revised 'razor-thin' Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is available for pre-order across the ditch. That's getting mighty close to us ...

Aparently the truck has literally just arrived at the depot in Auckland, so we might be seeing them in stores before next Thursday, maybe even tomorrow.

I was quite tempted by it but then saw the one Asus is about to release (Asus Transformer, with optional keyboard dock) which is supposed to have a much better screen, and is Asus, which by experience I'v always preferred to Acer.

I think I'll hold out for the Asus Transformer as well. I've had a better past experience with Asus as well.

That's right, apparently Tuesday in the Wellington/Porirua stores(I'm hoping for Fri/Saturday) was just in there 10 min ago :)

Yeah the 3g models have been delayed, I thought i saw a thread on here from a Harvey Norman employee saying that only the 32gb model was available next week?  The guy in the Wellington store seemed to think they had 16/32?

Can't wait to take a look, seeing the new Asus transformer has suddenly started to ship to the US, might have to have a look into that as well, especially since it's a lot cheaper

Accidentally posted the same reply twice, whoops

Changed this to:

WIll wait for the Asus Transformer now and see what price war it stirs up!  Should be a full $50-100 under the Iconia, without keyboard of course
