DoggNZ: I bought my phone from these guys. So far, so good. If I ever need to return for warranty, I'll let you know how I get on!

That's good to know DoggNZ I suppose you got yours around 1.5 weeks later then?  I thought I might be the only customer the way they operate. :)

BTW what is that ROM you have on your new phone, I'm just curious?

Yep, it went through Hong Kong, Guangzhou in China and Singapore it's way to me. It had been opened (I assume to set to English) but I don't care...the price was right!

I put Lite'ning ROM 1.4 on it the day I got it and have just upgraded it as new ones have been released.

Edit: Was actually 1.3 and just remembered the instruction book was in some weird language lol

Lol

my friend bought a Canon DSLR from electron world, guess what? It went through Hong Kong, Guangzhou in China and Singapore and now to NZ

I wonder why it have to go through all these places and not straight from HK to NZ (as you would if you bought from ebay)

Foo: Do post back when it arrives (or if it doesn't arrive by end of week).

Will do, thanks for your concern Foo.

It arrived yesterday everything works great, charger is chinese,  but they slipped in a NZ converter hence the box being opened.  I noticed that the manual & phone is Polish but who cares.

I think Top 10's customer service sucks balls you should not be left in silence after you have forked out cash - automated updates by email is essential.  The warranty info is somewhat illegal and I hope no problems materialize as there maybe potential grief. Mediocre performance really so for that reason I can't recommend them.

The phone is amazing, it's somewhat futuristic like it should be something 100 years from now. I came from the humble vodafone 845. I can see why so many of these great devices have left the shelf now.

My colleague got her iphone 4 today and we played around with both, the differences can't be compared and I can't understand why people try to do a face-off on them.

Glad your phone arrived and that you are happy with it. I have a LG Optimus X2 arriving in a couple of days bought from eking though they were pretty good too with regular updates.

Ultimately I just believe in a all well that ends well type relationship when forking out large sums of cash (although nerves play a big part when the communication is crappy) I am going to be upgrading from LG GW300 so big jump for me too. :-)

Anyone had experience with a phone purchase from Electron World? I'm almost ready to take the plunge, so looking for feedback (positive or negative).

Off topic, but werent you "Almost ready to take the plunge" on the HTC Sensation? :P

Yep, I sure was, but then I kept reading reviews, blogs and posts and then I started reading up on the SGS II.

At the time I couldn't really see the cost benefit in terms of an extra $200, but after reading more about the SGS II, I was swayed that way with the performance, camera and screen aspects. The TouchWiz interface isn't my thing, but with a different launcher, I can solve that one!

Prices have dropped a bit since then as well :-)

Off topic - Good choice you won't regret it Foo. This phone keeps impressing me on so many levels, the BLACK reproduction is out of this world. The audio from the quality headphones is stella and touchwiz is great but also have launcher pro if I get bored so best of both worlds there. Also the speed and smoothness is a solid 5 star in apps and games.
