Debin: BHphotovideo have the Xoom running 3.1 for about 650$ NZ delivered + GST.

Bit of a saving! Sure, have to send it to the USA in case it goes wrong, but meh, I think you'd be fine 99% of the time.

Though I'm not sure if its the sim -card -able model, not too sure about the xoom.

it quite clearly says it's the WiFi model, both in the description and even in the URL you pasted into your post. The XT one is 3G+ WiFi

What I meant is that I wasn't sure if the Xoom has GSM/simcard capability.

Telecom are selling it, therefore it must.
I have one, I can magically connect over 3G on it. That's the MZ601 anyway.

I was looking at using one as a replacement purchase for a netbook/laptop and would probably only ever use the wifi. Is it good value for money in this sense?
Do you use it very often or is it a bit of a novelty that will probably wear off?
Thanks.
