Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but Ebay have the 10.1 16gb for US$429 (free shipping to US address).  Not a bad deal, even after you've used a shipitto type service.

Well it seem as if Vodafone/Samsung have once again failed at a product 'launch'.

According to Vodafone no store in the country has the 10.1, and the stock is not released, with no ETA on when they will be getting them.

Samsung/Vodafone NZ are so terrible, it angers me how pathetic their relationship is. Look at the Galaxy S II.

Why bother announcing a product when you have no clue as to when it will actually be in store?

Yea kinda sad that the ipad2 launch makes the 6pm news yet the launch of the galaxy tab 10.1 doesn't even get a mention on the vodafone web page.

Boggles the mind really, it's like they don't care about their own product? Legal battles aside, there should have been more fanfare. TV ads, billboards, anything.

Had a call from vodafone on the way home from work and stock of the 10.1 had just arrived. I'll be picking mine up first thing tomorrow morning.

Nice, do you know if it has TouchWiz? I've unofficially upgraded my I/O 10.1 Tab to TouchWiz, and surprisingly it is an upgrade over stock Honeycomb (although I think still not as good as my Transformer on 3.2).

I think it has touchwiz. I've seen pictures of the dummy models and they look like they have touchwiz.

I'm not too keen on manufacturer ux's but I've also heard touchwiz does make it a better tablet.

Vodafone on queen street (well the one I went to) told me they were getting them next week. I laughed.

Where did you see them, Athor? Auckland?

Vodafone downtown inside the westfield. They only had one which they had couriered in for me as soon as they were released from the warehouse.

So most stores will probably be getting stock today or next week I guess.

The Tab has been listed as coming with Touchwiz for a long time, and since it was only just released you should probably take those claims with a grain of salt.

Speaking of Touchwiz, I have noticed the screen calibration is a bit dodgy since updating. Hitting the wrong links etc. It was nigh on perfect before updating, so I wonder where they went wrong. Did a search a week ago and I'm not the only one experiencing it. Getting on my nerves a little.

This might be a dumb question... but has anyone been able to confirm if the 3g version includes a micro sim card slot?

does anyone know what 3g frequencies this will have in nz. i have been reading a lot of different overseas reviews and they either say its triband with 900 / 1,900 / 2,100 so will only work on vodafone nationwide or is it quadband like it says on clove so would work on telecom as well.

Thanks for any ideas, sorry if a noob question
