Is it because you are rooted?

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

you have to root the phone to get the app working in New Zealand.

I have tried to use the app in countdown and Z petrol station both times declined however in the Z petrol station I used the NFC debit card that is loaded into Google wallet and the card worked fine by its self.

How long ago did you use the app at McDonalds in Palmerston North? and do you have an American credit card loaded into google wallet.

I might try and get a loaded visa card from the US online. I know we can get them in New Zealand so I'm sure its something thats available.

I have come to the conclusion that you will only be able to pay with the Google wallet app in New Zealand using a USA credit card just to let everyone know.
