kobiak: is it lagging?

I've played with 5 different tablets (ipad2, galaxy tab 10.1, iconia 10.1, toshiba 10.1 and xoom) last Saturday at JB Hi-Fi and most laggy and slow was samsung galaxy 10.1 :(

shame really, I wanted to buy it for xmas but now :( All the look is great. Could it be just one bad sample? or TouchWiz thingy?

Most impressed with Xoom, but I want SAMSUNG :(

Sometimes the laggyness depends on how many widgets and weather apps everyone has plonked on the screen of the demo versions. I've noticed with the tab in welly jbhifi once I pulled off all the weather widgets and tidied it up it is much smoother. I wish I wish I wish the 10.1 had a uSD slot...*sigh*

I'll write up a proper review on this once i've used it for a bit longer but so far, so good. There has been a few small issues though....

On both tabs, the aps menu froze once - not sure if this occurred after installing an ap or not but a restart fixed the issue and i haven't had an issues since.

Flash is pretty good, Youtube works fine in the ap version and the standard version. TV3 ondemand works great too. Tvnz ondemand runs a bit slow for some reason... the video is a bit jumpy in all playback options (300k, 700k and 1500k).

I thought of widgets, but all samples have default (or same) weather widget + clock and twitter.. nothing else. Must be something running in the background, but I have no idea how to check that :)

Anyway, would closely follow the topic and hopefully get one on Christmas rash.
