jamesrt: Slightly confused - if you got the update from a couple of weeks ago, then you'll be on 3.2 already; what else were you expecting?

That's the thing, it says under software 3.1 even though it did do the update that was released a couple of weeks ago.  I just thought it was apart of the screwed update and never updated to 3.2 correctly.

Well, for what it's worth:

Model: GT-P7510UW, 32G WiFi (that's what's physically printed on the back)

From the OS:
Android version: 3.2
Kernel 2.6.26.3 se.infra@SEP-81 #1
Build Number: HTJ85B.UEKMM P7510UEKMM

(Note, I have rooted the device, but I don't believe that changes anything in the above info; the rooting process does replace the stock recovery with a CWM recovery)

I rooted it BEFORE I upgraded from 3.1 to 3.2, but only AFTER the KEIS software said a new firmware was available (when I checked on Thursday evening).  Rooted so I could use Titanium Backup before upgrading.  The upgrade revoked root, so I re-applied it again afterwards.

Oh, and one more thing which may well make a difference:

Kies v2.1.0.11095_121; which just updated a few days ago from memory.

I'm very surprised about the lack of flashing custom roms here.

The performance benefits over a stock rom are astronomical.

meeekael: I'm very surprised about the lack of flashing custom roms here.

Slightly OffTopic, but I've also got a I9000 phone, and it took me a while to custom-flash that; mostly because the wide variety of choices and flavours of rom/kernel/etc made the whole thing very difficult to choose what to try!  Having briefly tried Cyanogen and discarded it (because I actually quite like the Samsung WeatherClock widget which won't run under Cyanogen) and a few other things, I've now settled on "DarkyRom 10.2.2", which seems to work well for me.

Back on topic again: What custom rom would you recommend for the WiFi Galaxy Tab 10.1 ?  I'm sure there is a plethora of choice....

Further to this... after searching more into it on the web, it seems that at this time, Samsung have not given the revised firmware update a different identifier to the firmware that was pulled, therefore the Tab thinks it already has the updated version.  Some people have been downgrading their firmware to an earlier version and then the Tab pulls down the new firmware successfully.  Others are manually applying the firmware (ODIN Mode) and the rest are waiting it out with Samsung to change the identifier.

No time to stuff around at this stage so will wait it out.  If I do try manually installing the firmware, I might just look at custom ROM etc.

I updated about 10 days ago. It now says Android 3.2 and all of the settings screens have now gone from white on black, to black on white as per bmt's screenshot on 25 November.

Did you update via Kies? I haven't had the option via Kies.

H'mm good question. I might have just gone check for update on the Tab itself. I can't remember sorry.

Same build and model number as me, and no update via KEIS or OTA.
I'm seriously considering a custom ROM, both my Android phones are running custom ROMs and the performance & responsiveness are better than stock.  Battery life is also extended dramatically.

My choice of ROM is likely to be Task650's GalaxyTask but the previously mentioned Overcome looks pretty boss ;)

I'm running Task650 10 and it is many times better than stock. Definitely recommend.

Yeah, safe to assume that until Samsung release a newer firmware such as ICS, it will not update.  For the sake of the exercise, I am going to roll-back following the below procedure and then see if the last update is available etc.  Either way, will also probably try a custom ROM.

Right, followed the 3.1 recovery procedure above (effectively rolling back to the firmware prior to the 3.2 update that was pulled).  Connected tab to kies and a new firmware was available.  Updated and now running the correct 3.2 firmware.  Looks like those who updated to the 3.2 firmware before it was pulled are unable to update to the corrected 3.2 firmware because the tab thinks you are already running the latest.

I still can't see any upgrade when I am connected to Kies.

Anyone else not getting an upgrade??
