It even shows up on the HTC NZ site. That augers well for good NZ support. Though I expect it to be offered at a premium initially by the main players. My guess is a handset only price of $NZ1199. This is based on the ability to parallel import one, taxes and shipping paid, for just under $NZ1000.

Just saw this on twitter: http://www.telecom-media.co.nz/releases_detail.asp?id=3838&page=index
"Telcom is pleased to welcome the HTC One X and One V to the Smartphonenetwork™.

Pre-orders will be live on Telecom's website from 10 April, and available online and in store on 26 April."

Had to have a chuckle though, they misspelt their own company name...

Just saw another auction (that allows pickups) on TradeMe for 1020: http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/vodafone/htc/auction-466056400.htm

None of the other shops I rang had them in stock (though some advertised it as in stock in their web sites).  They are all expecting new stock in abt 1-2 weeks time!

Yep - personally, I'm happy to wait the two weeks and pay $899 from Telecom!!

Youd be waiting more than that bud. Once they come out they will supply all the preorders then probably a couple weeks after that youl get it

Sorry - should have clarified.  I meant via pre-order - where they say sent within 3-5 days of them receiving on 26th (assuming one believes that!!). [Edit] - lets make that 3 weeks.

I would do the Telecom pre order

Would have done that a month ago had i known they were getting it. But alas we have the usual dragging the chain with the NZ teleco's so easier to be sure and get it from the UK.

Makes you wonder why they didn't get involved and promote it coming when HTC was doing its thing?

Still, guess trying to figure that out is like getting the weather man to give accurate predictions.

Cheers
