So HTC release a new Quad core phone, but they make the plastic body feel a bit cheap, the battery isn't removable any more and no external storage, and still the LCD screen...

Anyone got one yet?

Changed the name, because its not really that im disappointed but more, didnt expect it from HTC.

Yea definitely, I think im just comparing to there normal build quality you know.. they set a pretty high standard with most of there phones.

It is 32GB so the storage wont be to much of a big deal... Seems like they have mashed together the Nokia Lumia 800, Galaxy Nexus.

Looks like the camera is pretty slick though. Theres one on TradeMe at the moment...

The reviewers of which there seem to be plenty on YouTube all rave about the One X, none seem to highlight the body of the phone as being crappy.

I'm looking forward to it with relish

Ive found 3 that say the body feels nice but cheap, one saying you can push the back in as if its hollow. I am also looking forward to it and will probably buy one, but it is alot different to what the normally do. Just seeing what everyone else thinks

I'm more interested in how it looks (screen) and operates than how it feels. Every smartphone I have had has immediately gone into a gel cover. If this phone is to be the 'One' I next purchase, and lets face it my DHD is almost 2 years old, then the polycarbonate body might just mean I don't need a cover for it. Light, with no flimsy covers for battery, SD or sim seems like just the deal. More internal memory may have been nice but to be honest I use my Transformer to watch video now not my phone. Looking forward to some proper reviews on Monday once the embargo is lifted.

Actually saw video of Singapore launch, where they had one turned on and in a tumble drier continuously rotating just to show how tough it is.

Now that don't suck eggs.

Shame about having an encapsulated battery and a lack of a memory card slot! Otherwise perfection!

The carriers in the US like to fsck with the OEMs specs, thus you'll get a bunch of "the same" phones but for all the different US carriers that have something different.
