No warranty from DSE though

Anyone know the warranty situation. Is it a manufacturers warranty in which case who is the NZ distributor or is the product sold to retailers who have to provide their own warrant and build it into their sell price. In DSE's case, they won't have to worry :)

Vodafone will sort the warranty issues directly if DSE is no longer available to help.  Buy with confidence.

Yes good news on the warranty.  Rang Vodafone store at North West Mall yesterday and they confirmed product bought from a retailer that then disappears (Dick Smith) is covered by Vodafone.  So having taken months to decide I plumped for the Smart Ultra over the Samsung Note 4.  Very pleased with the decision as the Ultra seems a great phone and a bargain at $199 from Dick Smith.  Thank you to the staff at Dick Smith Westgate and sorry your loosing your jobs.  Very sad for them.

Just noticed my new Smart Ultra is not getting data on the mobile network, probably has not from new a few days back. I am on 2 degrees and when you turn off WiFi I get an exclamation mark on the cell symbol and apps show i am offline. Is there a setup needed for 2 degrees?

Any help would be great.

Sadly my suspicion about built quality seems to be being proven right. The touch screen on mine is slowly deteriorating. It does not detect touches on the edge very well, and has recently had spates of detecting phantom taps! (very annoying)

Here's me trying to draw around the edges of the screen.

Such a shame for such a great phone. Have to hunt for my receipt now and get it repaired or replaced under warranty.

My sisters Smart Ultra has developed a whole bunch dots around the border of the screen. See image.

Mine has the same dots. I expect she will have the same touch screen issue.

Let's call this Dot-gate!

How long did the warranty process take?
