No, 2Degrees. Maybe you had 20+MB of carrier extras!

Same firmware. Noticed you can now disable fast wireless charging. That means the fan won't come on in the Samsung fast wireless stand at night.

Is it a Spark branded phone though? Or Vodafone?

Not kind of, it's all Vodafone branded, right? And it looks like there's 40MB more crap in there than Spark variants have and almost 65MB more than the 2Degrees variants!

Hi all

So looking at the edge and just want to hear feedback on battery life etc.  I am 1 of those people that hate charging my phone during the day and expect it to last from 5am - 9pm. I use it for emails (2 accounts) facebook, twitter, Google+.  Always have wifi on, 4g, bluetooth.  Expect music to play for around 3 hours a day.  Average about 2.5 hours - 3.5 hours on screen time a day.

Also which one would you suggest the less bloatware the better so spark, vodafone or 2 degrees?

After updating mine. I cannot use the screen lock widget to lock and unlock using fingerprint. It needs a password or pin.

It's a new security policy.

Seems odd\annoying that they don't mention the inclusion of new features like the condensed mode which looks like it increases the virtual DPI of the screen, I find it much nicer than the default mode. Why are the changes hidden behind the usual obtuse "Stability and functionality improvements" description!?

~200MB is a reasonably substantial update, anyone discovered any other gems other than the seemingly useless Samsung customer service app?

Nope. I wish they would highlight what is included other than the standard "security updates blah blah blah".

Thanks for the tip! I agree, condensed mode is much nicer.

I don't think it quite works like that. I have a Spark S7 bought directly from Spark, and the update is 264mb. I'm not sure what makes up the variation in update sizes, but doesn't appear to be solely carrier specific "crap"

The camera on my S7 crashes every time I try to take a panoramic photo. Auto mode works fine.

Anyone else seen that?

Update: It only crashes if it is a "Motion On" panorama. If motion is off it works fine.
