Anyone having issues using contactless payments on their devices?

I've been paying with my S23U using contactless without issue until recently. I even used it overseas in AU and Singapore without a problem. Now that I am back, I can't seem to get it to talk to the terminals.

I found out that I now have to take off my case for it to register. I've had this same case since launch.

I wonder what's changed? I have the latest firmware.

I use contactless payments on my S23 every day with no issues. Haven't noticed anything different recently.

Sounds like it might be a hardware issue?

Not sure. Now I have to take off my albeit bulky case for it to register.

It used to work even with the bulky case.

OK just realised I had a Tesla card behind another card so that is likely to be the issue.

Lazy Question. Can you integrate your Kiwibank Credit card with the S23 Ultra?

If Kiwi Bank supports Google Pay then yes.

One issue with the update to Android 14 for the S23 series is that it is no longer compatible with the Pebble software. So any diehard Pebble fans will either have to defer the update or find a new watch.
Quite sad to see my Pebble time steel go after nearly seven years of service but the Amazfit GTS4 that has replaced it is a worthy replacement so far

I Googled it for you: https://support.google.com/wallet/answer/12059326?visit_id=638356984925037222-4274745849&rd=2

Awesome. Yet another basic thing we are deprived of with Kiwibank along with proper 2FA and decent customer service.

A few years back I moved our credit card banking from Westpac to BNZ just so I could use Google Pay. At the time, Westpac were trying to do their own thing with "Westpac Pay".

Keeping your credit card separate from your other banking has the benefit of being able to shop around and use the best credit card provider. We stuck with BNZ because they were also one of the few banks still doing cashbacks instead of some stupid points-based system. Although that is changing now too...

Thanks @Linux for heads up downloaded and installed, been waiting for this update hopefully to solve some of my problems.

My google play system update is on 1 July 2023 after 2 factory resets due to too many bugs in android 14 still cant update this back to 1 November 2023
which I had prior to factory resets, seen 1 solution on xda forums to install apk to do this but not keen on this method. Checked settings about phone,
software information and security and privacy entries says I'm up to date(1July 2023) does any body know of any other way to update this.

Plus how to turn off Google Discover which comes up at random times when I go to open phone on finger print sensor. Turned off so far 4 ways in settings in home screen section, add media page to home screen turn off, google app settings general and turn off discover, and third way long press blank screen and go left across pages and discover is there turn off with toggle and also turned off in google chrome browser.
Checked they are all off and discover still comes up?

Also if anybody uses health connect to sync health app settings this is now in settings, security & privacy section under more privacy settings and as of
Android 14 is part of the system you no longer need to use health connect(beta ) app which for me I think was in conflict and deleting all my steps.
